Common structural disorders and problems in the spine

Spinal disc herniation
Herniated discs are one of the most common pathologies today. The weakening of the annulus fibrosus and the leakage of fluid from the nucleus pulposus of the disc trigger a very painful nerve compression, which must be resolved as soon as possible.

Back pain
Back pain can derive from different causes (some more serious than others). However, I can assure you that they are all treatable with the right medical indications.

Scoliosis
Lateral deviations of the spine appear at any age, even from birth. The treatment method to be used will depend on the degree of curvature in the patient's spine.

Spinal stenosis
Spinal stenosis involves a narrowing of the spinal canal in the lower back, producing considerable pressure on the nerve roots that can affect the sciatic nerves and lower extremities.

Foraminotomy
Foraminotomy is a surgical procedure used to relieve compression of spinal nerves in the spine.

Facet Syndrome
Facet syndrome is a condition characterized by pain and discomfort that originates in the facet joints of the spine.

Distention
A common muscle injury usually caused by straining the back into heavy work or repetitive motions.

Disc rupture
Tearing or rupture of the fibers that make up the fibrous ring of the discs of the spine.

Compression fracture
In most cases, vertebral compression fractures are the result of a previous degenerative process in the bone structures. Treatment for this condition focuses on slowing the weakening of the bones to prevent recurrent injuries.

Spondylolisthesis
In spondylolisthesis, one vertebra slips over another. Its classification ranges between 1 and 5 degrees according to the distance of the displacement.

Arthritis
Inflammatory disease that affects the joints, in this case, those of the spine.

Osteoarthritis
Progressive deterioration of the cartilage tissue that lines the ends of the bones.

Osteoporosis
A disease that leads to a drastic decrease in bone density, causing weak bones that break easily.
Common disorders in the Cervical Spine

Cervical Discectomy
During cervical discectomy, part or all of the damaged intervertebral disc that is pressing on the spinal nerves is removed. This relieves compression and reduces associated symptoms, such as pain, weakness, or numbness in the neck, arms, and hands.

Neck pain
The cervical vertebrae have more flexibility than other structures in the spine, making them more vulnerable to trauma, deterioration, and other abnormalities.

Whiplash syndrome
Whiplash syndrome is a common neck injury that usually occurs due to a sudden and sudden movement of the head forward and then backward, such as occurs in a car accident.
Common disorders in the lumbar spine
Low back pain
Low back pain can be caused by poor posture, herniated discs, fractures or a degenerative process such as arthritis; Determining the root of the problem is the key to effective treatment.
Lumbar dysplasia
Lumbar spine dysplasia is a condition in which abnormal development of the vertebrae and joints occurs in the lumbar region of the spine.
Lumbar sprain
Injury triggered by extreme stretching or rupture of a ligament or tendon in the lower back.
Lumbar spondyloarthrosis
Lumbar spondyloarthrosis is a degenerative condition that affects the joints of the spine in the lumbar region.
